Learn all the basic ways to attach materials to hooks while filling your fly box with effective patterns you tie yourself. Progressive method takes you through fly types, tools and fishing tips while you tie.

One-Day Fly Fishing Schools
at The Sporting Gentleman, Media, PA.

Coed, taught by Mary Kuss and Marc DeJong.  Learn the basics of fly fishing in just one day: Casting, line-handling, knot tying and more.  Class runs from 9 a. m. to around 4 p. m.  Lunch is included and loaner rod and reel outfits are available.  $169.00 per person.  For more information, call The Sporting Gentleman at 610-565-6140.

A one day fly fishing course presented by the Dame Juliana League that's intended to get you started in the sport. Course will be held at Baker's Field Pavilion at the Phoenixville (PA) YMCA on the banks of the beautiful Pickering Creek.

Women's Fly Fishing Clinic at Kettle Creek Lodge.
Thursday through Sunday. Women fly fishers at any level, beginner through advanced, will enjoy and benefit from this annual event.  Throughout the weekend there will be numerous opportunities to hone existing skills and learn new ones.  An immersion experience in fly fishing, in a relaxed atmosphere that provides for intense learning but also allows plenty of unstructured time for rest and relaxation amid the natural splendor of Potter County, Pennsylvania.  Instructors are Mary Kuss and Rabbit Jensen.  Cost is just $399+tx. per person and includes meals, lodging, and all instruction.  For more information, contact Kettle Creek Lodge at 814-435-1019.
